Stanley L. Walker, Sr

Pastor

Reverend Stanley L. Walker, Sr. was born to Deacon Willie and Mother Ella Walker on November 27, 1950 in Greensville, South Carolina.  Reverend Walker grew through the years expressing an interest in music and sports.   He was baptized at the age of eight by Rev. J. S. Hall of Springfield Baptist Church in Greensville, SC where his parents served faithfully.  Later in life, the Spirit of the Lord began moving on the young teenager as he realized and accepted his call into the Gospel Ministry.

Evidence of the hand of God being upon this young man’s life, he was called into the Pastorate at just 19 years of age.  Minister Stanley Walker began to further his education and prepare for the pastorate at Benedict College where he received his Bachelor’s of Arts in Religion and Philosophy.  He then went on to earn his Master’s of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center at Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, GA.  By this time, Reverend Walker has served in various capacities ranging from a Drug and Alcoholic Abuse Counselor to Chaplaincy in Prisons/Correction facilities and hospitals, to now the current President of the Tallahassee Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance.

Today, Reverend Stanley L. Walker, Sr. has served in the Pastorate for almost 40 years! Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church happily welcomed Reverend Stanley L. Walker, Sr.  as it’s first full-time Pastor.  Reverend Walker is a proud father of five children: Sharon, Shante, Gloria, Stanley Junior, Shannon, and twelve grandchildren.

With all of his various accolades and prestigious accomplishments, it is with a thankful heart and a humble spirit that Reverend Walker attributes all glory and honor to God for the things He has done!
